When you use Applaud, you use intuitive screens to define components to extract, profile, analyze, cleanse, transform, and load data, all with minimal programming. Applaud makes the development process much faster than traditional programming (conservatively a 20:1 difference).

When the rules change (as they inevitably do), you use the same rapid application development tools to change the components. Applaud's rapid application development tools dramatically reduce the time required for specification changes.

View the Solution from the "30,000 Foot" Level
Applaud also includes an innovative set of tools to help you explore your solution from the "30,000 foot view". These features enable you to quickly understand how components interrelate and how new changes will affect the components.

"Top-Down" analysis provides the ability to view a high-level list of features in your solution and then drill-down to see every component (then drill-down again to view sub-components, drill-down again, and again, etc.). The process expands to show literally every element of every component, making it easy to quickly understand the complete purpose and function of any feature.

 

"Bottom-Up" analysis (shown in the screen above) enables users to select a data element and then click "Where Used" to view a list showing exactly where (and how) the data element is referenced. The list is organized by type of use to make it easy to manage (i.e., the list is divided into sections - defined in database table, extracted from data source, used in calculation, result of calculations, used for selection, used for output, etc.). Clicking on a referenced component displays the component specifications. Clicking "Where Used" again displays every reference to the component. Any number of concurrent "Where Used" requests are supported, making it easy to understand the complete impact of a proposed change.
